2010 Miami Heart & Stroke Ball
The American Heart Association and 425 guests celebrated the 2010 Miami Heart & Stroke Ball, March 6th
at the Mandarin Oriental Miami, with Joe Natoli, Senior Vice President of Business and Finance and Chief
Financial Officer for the University of Miami, serving as Chairman. The Heart & Stroke Ball continues the American
Heart Association’s tradition of raising funds to fight the #1 killer of men, women and children: heart disease.
Proceeds raised support the organization’s mission by funding vital research and education programs.

The Heart & Stroke Ball also highlighted the 2010 Big Heart Humanitarian Award winners, Dennis Scholl – John S.
and James L. Knight Foundation, Manuel Capo and The Capo Family - El Dorado Furniture, Sanford Ziff -
Philanthropist, Loren Ridinger - Market America, Dr. Barry Katzen - Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Dr. Roberto
Heros - University of Miami‘s Miller School of Medicine. President of Piaget North America, Larry Boland presented the
awards and graciously presented each of the Big Heart Award recipients with a commemorative Piaget clock.
